UNIDO Training Coordinators visit PAFAID’s project district to monitor Good Agriculture Practices training and upcoming farmers’ competition in Balochistan

Training Coordinators visited four districts of Balochistan namely Ziarat, Killa Saifullah, Pishin, and Killa Abdullah under UNIDO project The Project for Agri-Food and Agro-industry Development Assistance in Pakistan (PAFAID) funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (@JicaPakistan). The purpose of the visit was to ensure the going Good Agriculture practices (GAP) are being exercised that were imparted earlier through a series of training held in collaboration with the Balochistan Agriculture Extension department. Another important aspect of the visit was to sensitize the farmers to an upcoming competition.

During the visit, UNIDO training coordinators Mr. Saboor Ahmed and Ms. Asma Asghar also stopped over at Apple orchards after the recent flood in the district. They also meet Deputy Director Ziarat and Killa Abdullah to discuss the ongoing capacity-building activities for the development of the apple value chain in the province.
